Pedestians were blown over in London by strong winds as Storm Eunice battered the UK.
The London Fire Brigade has declared a "major incident" due to a deluge of 999 calls as the storm wreaked havoc across the capital and the rest of the UK.
This comes as millions of people were told to stay at home for the day as one of the worst storms in a generation hits the UK.
The Met Office has also taken the unusual step of issuing a severe weather alert with National Highways for strong winds covering the whole of the country's strategic road network from 6am to 6pm.
