What was the real reason Palpatine created General Grievous?
Grievous was one of the most feared generals in galactic history, known for his Ruthless tactics and skill at combating force sensitives. As we discussed in more depth on my second channel, the Sith chose grievous as the commander of the CIS because of his infamous status as a general on his home planet. However, this was far from his primary purpose. Palpatine's main goal was to ascend to power, not for the CIS to win the clone wars. After feeding Grievous many lies and even tampering with his brain to make him more aggressive, the Sith had created the perfect being to unleash utter chaos on the Republic. By using an alien cyborg as the head of the destructive CIS forces, this allowed Palpatine to take advantage of and exacerbate anti-droid and anti-alien sentiment in the human dominated core worlds. Palpatine used this existing xenophobia to further convince the Galaxy he was the bringer of order and stability, fighting against the so called uncivilized CIS.
