On this day in 2019, reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Kevin Gastelum met in the Octagon for what many consider one of the greatest title fights. After a five-round back and forth battle, the decision and interim title were given to Adesanya which set him up for a future title unification bout with Robert Whittaker.
