i'm writing to u from chicago on a calm chilly evening. on this desk with me are my ipad (which i made the thumbnail with, and fussed over for way longer than usual), a half-drank can of seltzer, a new bottle of advil, a lamp, a compact watercolor case, a new book, and lastly, a stick candle burning slowly. it's been a chill week, and i am so grateful for this time... i've realized i dont feel so much like myself these days, and i prefer not to think about that too much, and rather focus on practicing being kind to myself as well as remembering what i truly live for/am grateful for.
time to time, i am reminded that losing my father is a process i'm navigating through feels confusing, and i get lost. i feel lost. i feel loss. and thats all part of this life, i guess. working through it, feeling all of it.
and the advil was picked up for me by my dear friend chris, a couple days ago on his way home from errands. it was super rainy, nonstop. and being inside and taking it easy (cus my migraine forced me to) was honestly very comforting on the air mattress by to the chicago cityscape. i am resting up. feeling much better.
anyway. i hope you enjoy this video- it means a lot that i get to share slices of life with you, and i hope that it inspires you to be kind to yourself and cherish the things that matter to you. i send you my love, and i am with you in spirit.
