The Protein Data Bank in Europe - Knowledge Base (PDBe-KB, https://pdbe-kb.org) is an open collaboration between world-leading specialist data resources with a goal to provide biological insights to macromolecular structure data in Protein Data Bank (PDB).
Since we described PDBe-KB in 2019, there have been significant improvements in the variety of available annotation data sets and user functionality. This webinar presents the up-to-date improved PDBe-KB protein-specific aggregated views which provide an overview of available structural and functional information for a protein of interest, referenced by a UniProtKB accession.

Who is this course for?
This webinar is aimed at individuals working on protein biology. No prior knowledge of bioinformatics is required, but an undergraduate level understanding of biology would be useful.
Outcomes
By the end of the webinar you will be able to:
- Navigate and utilise tools on PDBe-KB webpages to get an overview of available structural and functional information on your proteins of interest
- Visualise superposed protein chains clustered by structural similarity for any protein in PDB
- Download the relevant data for your protein of interest
- Help us improve our newly redesigned webpages by providing valuable feedback
This webinar was recorded on 4th May 2022.
