क्या आप जानते है, कि tata की पारखी नज़र ने, कैसे 2 लाख करोड़ की watch company खड़ी करदी दी। ये बात साल 1970 की, जब tata कोई नया business start करना चाहता था।और उस वक्त उसकी नज़र पड़ी indian watch market पर, क्योंकि उस वक्त indians को international watches काफी ज्यादा पसंद थी, पर वो easily मिलती नहीं थी, साथ ही वो काफी ज्यादा expensive भी हुआ करती थी। इसलिये tata ने साल 1987 में पहली बार titan watches की manufacturing शुरू कर दी| titan ने कुछ ही साल में indian market में काफी ज्यादा बड़ा नाम बना लिया, क्योंकि titan की service, दूसरे brand से काफी ज्यादा अच्छा थी | शायद इसी वजह से, एक वक्त ऐसा भी आया था,जब पुरे tata के revenue का 70% contribution titan से आता था। यही नही titan के stocks ने भी पिछले 5 सालों में अपने investors को लगभग 400% का return दिया है| जिससे titan इंडिया का number 1 ब्रांड बन चुका है।
