Why Did People In Star Wars Use Blasters Instead of Normal Guns? (PART 2)

In a recent video, we explored some of the reasons why blasters were far more popular than regular guns despite being highly effective against Jedi. However, there were some other major drawbacks we have not yet discussed that I thought required some more attention. First, blaster bolts fired in a straight line, therefore making them very accurate. By contrast regular bullets are affected by gravity. This means that gravity has to be taken into consideration when firing, an especially hard task when gravity varies between planets. Second, regular guns would struggle to work in space. Although modern guns can fire in the vacuum of space, they would struggle with the extreme changes in temperature, possibly causing the gun to misfire or stop working.
