Why don’t you have a larger penis? – Ask your mother! | UroChannel

In order to understand why penises come in different sizes, it is important to understand penile development from fetal life. Genetics are the foundation of how things might turn out. What is realized depends on the influence of androgens during development. Testosterone, its metabolite Dihydrotestosterone and Growth hormone play a critical role as they contribute with 70-75% to penile development. There are three testosterone surges during development: in early fetal development, soon after birth and during puberty. In adult life, the penis will not grow when exposed to testosterone. By the way: the genetic information for penis size and girth is encoded on the x-chromosome which stems from the mother. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Stefan Buntrock, urologist from Göttingen, explains in this video on UroChannel why it is impossible to grow a larger penis in adult life.
