Amber Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft is speaking to the press in the wake of this week’s verdict in the defamation case brought against the actress by her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. Appearing on the “Today” show, Bredehoft said that Heard doesn’t have the funds to pay the over $10 million judgment. There’s talk that Heard will have to declare bankruptcy, but it may not do her any good. There are also concerns that the verdict could have a chilling effect on victims of domestic abuse.
