This is the power of prayer which scholars have rightly called the weapon of the believer.
When Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi heard that the Crusaders were approaching him with the help of ships, he went to the mosque and spent the night asking Allah Almighty for help and supplications. In the morning prayer, Anuhi said to a pious man, "Please pray, so that the enemy ships may come out of the shores with reinforcements." The man replied, "O Salahuddin, do not be afraid. Indeed, the tears of the night have sunk the enemy ships." Shortly afterward, news came that the ship had sunk.

اسلام کی لغت میں، ناممکن، ناقابل حصول اور/یا ناقابل تسخیر جیسے الفاظ نہیں ہیں۔ ترمذی کے مطابق، آسانی کے وقت کی دعا تسلی بخش ہوتی ہے اور عاجزی کو جنم دیتی ہے جبکہ ساتھ ہی یہ ترمذی کے مطابق، مشکل کے وقت ہماری دعاؤں کے قبول ہونے کا یقین دلاتی ہے۔


اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف متواتر دعا میں متوجہ ہونا اس پر یقین کی علامت ہے اور جتنا زیادہ اس کی طرف رجوع ہوتا ہے، اتنا ہی اس کا ایمان بڑھتا ہے۔ دعا دل کی حالت اور اپنے خالق سے اپنی پسند کی زبان میں گفتگو ہے۔ ایک حدیث میں ہے کہ دعا اللہ تعالی سے ہماری تمام ضروریات کی تکمیل کے لیے عرض کرنے کا ایک ذریعہ ہے خواہ یہ کتنی ہی معمولی یا گگیر معمولی کیوں نہ ہو۔ یا میدان جنگ میں مشکلات کا سامنا کرنے کے طور پر اہم (ترمذی)۔
