My (34F) fiancé (31M) has issues with his parents because his father was extremely abusive when fiancé was growing up. He gets along okay with his mom, but their relationship is rocky since his mom denies the abuse. I’ve never had much contact with his parents and I try to stay out of his relationship with them because of how fraught the dynamics are.
