CRAYTON COVE. A glimpse into Naples' earliest days.
In the 1920's this area was known as "The Back Bay", as it provided the towns' first sheltered moorage. It became the community center for the year-round pioneers who were building the Tamiami Trail, creating a fishing industry and laying the foundation for the city of Naples.
Renamed "Crayton Cove" in 1936, after being purchased by Benny Morris from Ed Crayton, it remains and integral part of Naples' social and business life, while providing a glimpse into the towns' earliest days.
Today, Crayton Cove harbors the Naples Yacht Club, Naples City Dock, the Dock Restaurant, The Bleu Provence Restaurant, Chez-Boet French Home Cooking, Napoli On The Bay Pizza Restaurant, Paws Pet Boutique, and The Cove Inn.
This Crayton Cove area is located at 12th Avenue South and 8th Street South in Naples and is steps away from 5th Avenue South and historic Third Street South. It is often overlooked by tourists. It is well worth a visit.

NAPLES CITY DOCK is located in Crayton Cove and is close to 5th Avenue South and historic Third Street South. Admission is free. Take a walk on the concrete floating docks and enjoy the nautical scenery of the yachts and boats. As you will see, charter fishing is abundant at the dock.
The City Dock offers 84 slips accommodating 30 – 60 foot vessels with deep water. High speed diesel and ethanol-free gasoline. Free pump out. Rest rooms/laundry room/outdoor lounge area. Close to shops and restaurants. Located at 880 12th Ave. South.
