Broadcaster Katie Woolf says she was “disgusted" to hear female protesters were beaten by Taliban fighters when the militant group broke up a rally in Kabul on Saturday.

“One year has passed, and it was everybody’s worst nightmare that this kind of thing would actually happen,” she said.
