With close to 4,000m of climbing and five categorised climbs, stage 20 should prove to be the most attritional stage of the race and one where only the strongest survive to contest the stage win at the finish. This is the last opportunity for anyone to challenge the race leader, and whoever ends the day in red will, barring disaster tomorrow in Madrid, crown themselves the winner of the 2022 Vuelta a España.
