Andrew Schorr was a healthy runner with a wife and 2 kids when a surprise cancer diagnosis changed his life. In The Patient’s Story’s new series: “Cancer Friends,” we speak with Andrew, a 26-year cancer survivor, patient advocate and co-founder of Patient Power. He's been living with 2 chronic blood cancers. In this conversation, Andrew goes back to 1996, the year of his first cancer diagnosis and talks about how the fear of dying impacted him and his family, how he pushed for self-advocacy, finding other patients like him, and why he chose to be a part of a clinical trial.
