--- LESSON 10: {EA01-L10}
When mentioning the name of a male companion we say:
رَضِيَ ٱللهُ عَنْهُ
raḍiya -llāhu ʿanhū
May Allah be pleased with him

When mentioning the name of a female companion we say:
رَضِيَ ٱللهُ عَنْهَا
raḍiya -llāhu ʿanha
May Allah be pleased with her

When mentioning the name of two companions we say:
رَضِيَ ٱللهُ عَنْهُمَا
raḍiya -llāhu ʿanhuma
May Allah be pleased with (both of) them

When mentioning the name of 3 or more companions we say:
رَضِيَ ٱللهُ عَنْهُمْ
raḍiya -llāhu ʿanhum
May Allah be pleased with them



Allah reminds us in the Qur'an:
كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ
You are the best of all nations who have been raised for mankind ….(3:110)

Our Prophet (pbuh) said:
The best of my followers are those living in my generation and then those who will follow the latter. (Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Fear Allah in every matter concerning my Companions. Do not make them the targets [of your criticism] after me.
Whoever loves them does so on account of their love for me, and whoever shows enmity towards them does so on account of their being hateful to me.
Whoever insults them has insulted me and whoever insults me has insulted God. Whoever insults God, will soon be seized by Him.” (Tirmidhī)
