Came back from Chicago with the flu and a Blackpink sweater! I got inspired to make this video after seeing how skinny K-pop idols are in person and how this standard of beauty in Asia is impacting everyone. The spread of information is so quick nowadays cause of new technology and social media – people are seeing these trends and realizing that being thin is what everyone should aim for. Skinny enough challenges are gaining popularity where people try and fit the beauty standard by doing a weird task involving their waist or collarbones. Shopping only in the kid section for clothing is another trend people have started doing. The use of beauty filters that change your entire appearance isn’t helping either.
