Studies show that people choose their dogs based on their personality traits.

It is said that dogs are man's best friend. This may be a much more accurate determination than you think. A group of researchers studying dogs and their owners found that people choose their dogs based on their own personality traits.

According to a study by a dog club called The Kennel, people who prefer certain dog breeds share the same personality traits.

1500 dog owners participated in the survey, which included 16 popular dog breeds. It turned out that people with the same breed of dog show similar characteristics and have more in common than previously thought.

While it was stated that people who own Jack Russel dogs are more loyal, it has been revealed that people with a dog breed called Cocker Spaniel are curious and devoted to their families.

It was stated that people with Golden Retrievers are emotionally stable individuals, they are positive and happy.

Border Terrier dog owners, on the other hand, stood out as being attractive, dynamic and full of life.

The survey results revealed that individuals who like to experience new things, take risks and have a wide variety of hobbies are Whippets.

Two-thirds of the participants stated that they chose their dogs based on their appearance or chose the one that was in their heart.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Kennel Club said: "We can make a lot of inferences about that person by looking at someone's dog."
